This razor is AMAZING & I'm a picky girl when it comes to shaving. My skin is sensitive, dry & I have a hard time getting a close shave under my arms. The Shick Hydro Silk left me with no complaints. It left my skin so soft even with this crazy cold weather that normally dries them out & I had no problems with my underarms either.

The razor has this weird arch to it which took some getting used to, but now I don't even notice it. I also really like with it came with a little hook to hang in the shower.

I don't normally do much decorating for Valentine's Day but this year decided to jazz it up a little! I found some free printables & made a cute wreath earlier this week. I discovered I HATE yarn, I tangle it non-stop but the end product is worth it. Not to mention this super cute wreath cost me a whopping $7.49 after tax!

This will be used all year long!! Me the hubby and the girls can all write little notes on it and move it around the house. I don't know about you but waking up to a love note from my hub makes my entire day!!

I saved this so long ago I don't have the link anymore but I have seen a lot of different version on Pinterest.

I also really lucked out finding a bag of Valentines goodies I got on sale last year!! I plan on getting the rest of that out this weekend and starting on C's school valentines <3

I am going to do 20 completely random things, everyone already knows that I love my family and all that jazz!

1. I love to chop vegetables & sometimes pretend I'm on a cooking show while I do it.
2. I buy at least 1 nail polish a week, I have a huuuge problem.
3. When I have split ends I pull them off, there are day where my desk is covered in hair.
4. Even though I complain, I LOVE grocery shopping! It's my free time.
5. I have depression/anxiety but hate taking medicine! There are days I feel like I have no control of my body & it SUCKS!
6. Staying home always sounds fun but I love being a working mom.
7. If I've had a bad day, I bribe C to sleep in my bed & snuggle.
8. I think being a step parent is one of the hardest "jobs" there is.
9. I love crafting, especially with my BFF's
10. I drink too much coffee but it relaxes me.
11. I drink the juice from dill pickles, sometimes before the pickles are gone!
12. I still put black olives on my fingers and pretend I'm a monster, even my kids think I'm nuts.
13. My house is always messy & I like it that way. My family is making memories while making that mess.
14. I can't sleep without the TV on
15. I bar tend at a local bar every Saturday, there isn't much money in it but I seriously love the little old country men.
16. If I know someone with a stomach bug, I instantly feel ill
17. I hate owning a house & would love to move into a condo or something.
18. I have close to 100 pairs of underwear, another one of those things that I buy way to many of.
19. I LOVE family game night.
20. I love Barbie movies! I swear C will start watching one and wonder off & I'm still stuck into the movie.

Happy New Year, Blogger World!

2012 was a great year for my family ... okay not GREAT but what fun is a year with no bumps in the road?! We all made it through alive & happy, what more can ya ask for?!

I try not to make resolutions, my goal is to be better in some way than I was last year! Sure I'd love to be skinnier, stress free, have a filled saving account & get to church more buuuut lets get real!

2013 started with me filling out a kindergarten application for a local charter school, the only have so many slots and fill them with a lottery system so wish us luck! I didn't think I would be so emotional filling out that application, I mean it's like I'm a stay home mom who is going to have this gap to fill all day. But let me tell you I was a MESS!! I couldn't stop the tears that day & those that know me, know that I'm not a very emotional person. I think Sandy Hook may have really added to my anxiety about her going to a "real" school. I won't know if we got a spot until March & even if we get one C still has to do the early enrollment testing in May. My baby girl is growing up & damn it, I'm just not ready.

C had also been really pushing for TRIPLETS, yep you read that right TRIPLETS ... 2 sisters & 1 brother. In case that's not bad enough, both girls will be named Piggie & the boy Benjamin (which I actually really like). We have decided to try for baby #2 at some point this year, hopefully the kid isn't too disappointed that IT WILL NOT BE TRIPLETS (Dear God, please read that thoroughly. Thanks from the woman who wants to keep her sanity)!

We have also talked about job changes, moving and lots of other big things- looking forward to what this year has in store for my family :) Stay tuned .....

Houseparty!

I am so happy HouseParty picked me to try out the SodaStream!! I am not a huge soda drinker, 1 a month is pushing it buuuut I LOVE this machine, it's awesome.

I hosted the party at my house last Friday & made it a kids soda/craft/movie/pajama party, we all had a great time ... the kids were still running CRAZY until 11pm.

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!! I most definitely did ... stayed home all day in my PJ's, cooked a yummy meal for my little family & decorated for Christmas! C decided she wanted to sleep over our neighbors so the hub was actually able to go Black Friday Shopping with me this year. He was a Black Friday Virgin & I can almost guarantee, he will never go again.

Dessert is of course my favorite part of Thanksgiving ....

I absolutely loved my long weekend home with my family, I even had time for some Christmas crafts with the little one. I am really happy with the way they both turned out.

Buddy the Elf has been back & C is the perfect age!! She wakes up everyday so excited to find him, her giggles 1st thing in the morning are great.

This weekend I plan on figuring out the Christmas craft that C will gift this year & making an Advent Calendar for the house. eeek I can't wait, only 3 more days of work.

Update..

Story of my life, I'm behind on everything ... blogging, instagrams monthly challenge, what I'm thankful for today's, blah blah blah! I've been busy. I have really have been bad at taking pictures lately, which I'm bummed about!

I have made some yummy new recipes & will blog about eventually. I'm really looking forward to trying some new Christmas goodies... thank you Pinterest. Speaking of Christmas I am SOOOO ready!! Hard to believe I will be able to start decorating this time next week :eeek: and our elf friend Buddy will be back destroying my house. I decided to be a little bit more organized with his shenanigans this year, so I printed a calendar for December and wrote what would happen each day. Last year I just kinda winged it. Do you have any favorite traditions? We do a few different things...

• Thanksgiving morning we eat stuffing for breakfast while we watch the parade ... I make good stuffing with sausage and everything in it. This tradition started with my step mom and will continue forever!
• Buddy of course, will show up in the mail next week & stay until Christmas.
• We bake cookies and give them to well, anyone I can, I just love making them. This year I'm going to make cinnamon sugar almonds in the crock pot too.
• Christmas Eve buddy will bring PJ's for the entire family and a Christmas movie to watch, this year I'm thinking Arthur Christmas. I also ordered The Pajama Elves Book this year!

I saw this cute little elf door that you put up against your base board buuut I'm pretty sure I can make a cuter one, so that will come next year.

Enough about Christmas ..... I haven't hosted a HouseParty in a LONG time but I signed up and ACTUALLY got picked to host one for SodaStream. I'm not at all a soda drinker {maybe 1 soda a month but that's pushing it} but I'm excited about this little machine! It gives you recipes for sparkling tea and grown up drinks too!

I also just signed up for BzzAgent & I'm so addicted to filling out all the surveys! How did I not know about this??

Family update.... we are all doing great!! I start a part-time bartending job tonight & I'm really looking forward to it, I miss the bar atmosphere a lot. C is doing great in school and learning so much, amazes me everyday. M just brought home straight A's AGAIN, the kid has never brought home anything else. J is doing well too- he is in the process of job hunting, he has done auto body work his entire life and I think it's really wearing on him.
